The portfolio is part of the foundation studio in Master of Urban Planning. The aim of the studio is the introduction of basic planning parameters and their implications in a practical setting, relating them to social, economic and environmental context. The area taken up for study is Surat Agglomeration with focus on the preparation of the development plan for 2041. Through the application of percipience of study of New Urbanism, form-based zoning, the development plans of different cities and exploring development tools such as road width, building height, and plot sizes; understanding regarding the relationship between zoning and its impact on future development was assimilated.
