This studio introduced the crucial statutory tool for an urban planner, the Development Plan ( DP henceforth) for a city. While there are other leading stakeholders governing policies, business plans, and guidelines, the DP is lead by urban planners. In the many important tools and layers involved in the making of a DP, my interest inclined towards the tool of physical planning in particular. Throughout the semester, I have explored and tried to understand DP through the tool of zoning as the primary platform of interpretations and application. Hence this portfolio largely reflects my learning in this semester with physical/ spatial planning as the explanatory tool.
