The project training was done at Ahmedabad underground metro project-UG-02 under the awardee contractor L&T. The underground station by top-down methodology and tunnel construction by EPB-TBM both were covered under this. At station all the 3 structural components namely Pile, Diaphragm wall and Slab was covered. This portfolio contains details about the casting of tunnel lining segments at kathwada casting yard and also tunnelling and ring building between kalupur launching shaft and Gheekanta station by Earth pressure balance tunnel boring machine. For each activity detailed construction methodology, procedure, quantities, resources, time cycle, costing, productivity, equipment mobilization & cost were studied.
