THIS PROJECT IS RECONSTRUCTION OF AN OLD CRICKET STADIUM AT AHMEDABAD, INTO AN ICONIC WORLD'S LARGEST CRICKET STADIUM HAVING A SEATING CAPACITY OF 1,10,000. OWNER IS GCA AND CONTRACTOR IS L&T. CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY COMPRISES MAINLY OF PRECAST WORKS FOR MAIN STADIUM AND CAST-IN-SITU CONSTRUCTION FOR OTHER STRUCTURES. INNOVATIVE FEATURES INCLUDE A STRUCTURAL STEEL COMPRESSION RING AND PTFE MEMBRANE TO BE ERECTED AS WELL AS CABLE LAYING FOR SAME BY AN ITALIAN COMPANY. THIS WORK OF MINE WILL BE SHOWCASING BASIC PROJECT DETAILS AND ERECTION OF COMPRESSION RING ACTIVITY INCLUDING SOME ANALYSIS.
