Emulating Environs | Enhancing the commons

The site chosen is the 80 year old MN Krishna Rao park, which lies in the old neighborhood of Basavanagudi in the city of Bangalore, India. A study of the city, citizen's traits and the site led to the understanding that the public spaces for recreation were existing and only had to be enabled. The project is thus attempt to transform the existing site into a captivating, dynamic neighborhood park, preserving its historical heritage prompting a sense of community and belonging to one’s own proximate environment, while creating comfortable spaces to interact, play and contemplate.
