Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest, Vindhyan Range
Terminalia-Anogeissus latifolia- Tectona Grandis Series
Panna Tiger Reserve
The study is aimed at unravelling the continuity of unseen wilderness in the highly modified and fragmented landscape of the Panna Tiger Reserve (Tropical Dry Deciduous forests, Vindhyan Range). The objective is to identify degraded areas in the Panna landscape with the vision of highlighting their potential by drawing parallel with similar conditions within the remnant forest. The degraded scrubs, agricultural lands and wastelands which appear dull and dead in comparison to the remnant forests, thrive with diverse flora and fauna. These points of paradox leave the viewer to ponder if such degraded ecosystems are wastelands?
