Urban Kyari Commune

Is it step up or step down, the commune we want to live around? We want to be individuals as much as we can, yet be a part of a larger whole. We are like water that likes to flow, and no lake we belong to We wake up to the morning light, filtering through the madhumalti and bougainvillea surrounding us We walk past the dim light courtyard damped with fragrance of jasmine, juhi, champa, mogra, I smell them loud. Speaking of their serene beauty Full lit up, as the yellow star from within the cloud. For the mindful yoga and workout. All fresh we go on the morning quest, to the rooftop farm looking for vegetable and the fruits so ripe. We cook our food together, sit by the balcony; enjoying the winter morning sun warming our skin.  Now it’s time for creation, to manifestation of our imagination Everyone with their own ways, admiring and finding their own space. Some alone, some in common space, some intermittently, with 1000 breaks. While some just can’t handle any distress From early afternoon to evening we go, some stretch into a siesta, but not me, not at all. While the building breathes, exhaling warm air out through stair shaft and inhaling cool air from the fragrant garden with its silent cool shade.
As the raging sun subsides, the plant nurturer go on to their chores Some get dirty in farms on top, some climb along creepers and climbers Some care for pots and vertical gardens, some check the hydroponic flow
The evening arrives, bringing with itself a lightness of being, emptying the imaginators of day’s burdens. The library now lights up with with chatters and discussions. Some sit in court, some would play pity sports Fragrance of kesudo and café will compete, while everyone will sit around the lily pond to eat As the soothing night arrives, the dreamers will rise The drinks will be swirled, under the vineyards that proudly exist. Terrace comes alive, with the sound of laughter and some happy plants, and the tribe’s jig and jingle would be tuned Soon I would be gone, with the dilemma along Is it a step up or step down, is this the commune I want to live around?
