Social Learning

The intent was to design a school using the tools of space syntax to understand the relation between the social characteristics and spatial organization. An iterative analysis process was used to test and refine the plan. The space syntax measures analyzed using the software allows us to speculate more accurately about how the space may be used.

The school forms a place for varied learning environments and interactions. The core concepts include, balancing integration in the large common space and student common spaces to create a school where students have places over which they have autonomy., and visually connecting areas of the school to create a sense of community among students of different ages.
