URBAN MANIFESTO - Ahmedabad being a bustling and fast city is a mesh of tall vertical creatures , large planar public spaces , commercial and public streets and large residential communities living together. In this era of industrialization we will have to accept the vertical spaces and vertical commercial complexes. But what is missing is those horizontal connections with one another and the connection with ground and sky as well. The collage attempts to show how these existing horizontal connections can be revived in these urban fabric of vertical buildings. For reviving the lost horizontal connections in these vertical buildings , a reference of a childhood memory ( where tree was treated as a column and horizontal strings where connected and we use to hang things on it and play with it and swing on it) is made to connect playful things on and between these vertical blocks. These playful things are basically the public and engaging elements of streets like animals , fauna and other large scales spaces of plays and merry -go- rounds which should no longer just remain as objects on streets ....

SPATIAL MANIFESTO - The nature of streets and the existing moments of urbanisms prevailing in them inspires to bring those spatial moments of tension between modernity-nature , calm-chaos and public-private within the project.
 PROGRAMMATIC MANIFESTO - The program tries to a interplay of movement - void - construct within the larger neighborhood of Naranpura. Sitting at the intersection of two main streets, it tries to blur the boundary of typical threshold by bringing in the idea of micro urbanisms, movements and greens at pedestrian level in the public spaces of the program. This nature of publicity and openness of the program then graduates into multi-faceted areas were the juxtaposition of these public layers into Commercial and Residential spaces occurs. These kind of functional encounters through staggering of horizontal and vertical layers of programs gives opportunity of producing great relationship within inside-outside & public-private within appropriate functions.
