The site is situated in Rajkot, Gujarat. The area surrounding the site is majorly residential with a layer of commercial and mixed-used type of buildings on the edge of the road. Densely occupied area have left only few open ground which can be used by the public. The site being on the junction of two main roads, provides an easy access to various modes of transportation. Also it provides an opportunity to develop it into the public hub in the city center.

The three main plazas are created : the public plaza, the commercial plaza and the residential plaza, which respond to the various functions and the site. These plazas are connected through a street where various informal activities extends into. This helps in integrating the public into the larger urban fabric of the city.
