Night Shelter for Homeless

Homelessness is a major issue in India. Its Urban India’s paradox that the homeless risk death daily on the streets even as shelters remain empty.  During the 2017 bitterly cold winter, over 100 homeless people died in New Delhi.
The intention is to design a sleeping unit which will cater to the daily wage workers and homeless population which can be stacked or grouped together to form a community of night shelters in outdoor residual spaces that are not being used up to their optimum potential and are creating urban voids in rapidly growing cities.
