The Da Vinci Arcade

Our surroundings are packed with compact spaces today. These spaces are expected to be functional while being aesthetically pleasing. Volumetric dimensions of each space can be perceived physically as well as visually.  This series of projects explores the interior design technique of visual expansion of space through various elements across three roles of an interior designer. These interventions also exhibit material techniques for construction of tangible interventions of aluminium profiles and bamboo and intangible elements like light, used in combination. With exhibition spaces designed for fifteen of Da Vinci’s dream machines, the Renaissance can be revisited in the modern day.
