Re design process focuses on understanding fundamentals of furniture design. The furniture must correctly embody the essential principle of arrangement, the components of device must be geometrically related and resist forces as the intended result. Approach to optimizing material and bringing out different details in process of making furniture. Studying on Sir Mies Vander Rohe works as primary study purely focusing on the structural and principles of architect. As a part of study, a research on one of his famous projects “The Barcelona pavilion” has been chosen as primary study and try to analyze his principles of design and structure which is converted to a piece of furniture with elements of Mies work, So this furniture is focused on, The grid, transparency in material and form and cantilever which are implemented in ‘Resilient stool’.
