The final project is an attempt to introduce a program through the spaces formed by a whole which is then distributed at various levels to the scale of details. It contrasts with the host that is the site - both geometrically and structurally. The site is a stepwell situated in Jodhpur and the selected area for the project is the entrance courtyard. It acts as a threshold before the pavilions, without interfering with the existing purpose of the built.Ornamentation by Form: I associated the descending function of a stepwell with storage and reversed the order by the ascending area of plans at four levels with the idea of distribution through the exchange of cultural methods. This is the basis of ornamentation through the introduction of form.  Ornamentation by Material: The visual commonality of the use of sandstone throughout the space is divided by the introduction of materials such as wood, metal, and glass. The need for ornamentation is to provide an exterior envelope to provide enclosure to host activities within.
