This project attempts at chalking out a process of public participation in the context of the eastern water front in Mumbai, India. In the recent years, Mumbai has received backlash from several stakeholders in regards to its urban development and mega projects. These projects have often been accused for serving only a certain segment especially the higher income groups of Mumbai giving rise to several exclusionary narratives in the city. Therefore this project explores public participation as a tool across the life span of a project towards a more inclusive approach by truly giving back the eastern water front to the citizens of Mumbai.
