The city of Lucknow also referred to as “The City of Nawabs”, is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In the late years, the city has seen a great demand in the real estate sector, both residential and commercial, due to its growing infrastructure. As the city is still growing, it mostly offers places for greenfield development. With the help of Lucknow Development Authority, UP Awas Vikas, and the private developers that came in mostly from Delhi-NCR, the city has seen a boost in the real estate market. Through the “Housing Project Studio”, I got an opportunity to understand the cities dynamics in terms of real estate, how the macro and micro market of the city function and respond to the need of the users. I also learned to develop a financially viable project for a 10 Ha greenfield site, which is the current demand in the city.
