A Journey from Commercial to a Residential Neighbourhood

The portfolio is a brief description of all the analysis of the selected 1 sq. km. study area of the city Indore (M.P.) under the studio of 'Understanding the City'. The analysis talks about the transformation in an area that took place over a decade and the factors that were responsible for it. Parallelly the precinct is also compared with two similar precincts of different cities, holding the same texture of land but slightly apart characteristics. Understanding these aspects will help in concluding that how a predominating commercial land got transformed into a predominating residential area in just the course of two decades.
