Dynamics of Migration in Non Industrial City - Anantapur

Anantapur has no industrial base but has a lot of migration. Because it is in a drought prone region where the agriculture is not prosperous and farmers left with no option to migrate to Urban Areas. The city is also known for its Educational prominence because many people reside here with their families though they are working in other towns of the district. Migration affected the Job Market, Housing Market and the Land development very differently with more investments, compact and dense development, more rented stocks and slums which generally not observed in Small Cities (below 5 Lakh populations).
