The precinct is a selected area of one square km situated on the northwestern part of the city. It is situated at a distance of 8.1 Km from the city centre and is connected to the important landmarks via Ashiana Digha Road which is a sub arterial road along which whole settlement exists. It is predominantly residential with 68% of the precinct is residential. Sharon’s Public School, Gyan Sarovar School, Shyamal Hospital, Child Care Hospitals are some of the institutional buildings present in the precinct. Government quarter’s like Excise Colony, AG Colony and NTPC Colony also exist in the precinct and one of the key determinants of the evolution of precinct.
