Steel city Ballari

This project focuses on understanding Ballari city from an urban lens. It emphasizes how the city grew organically around the fort located in the city core and how it attributes to the city fringes that have been continuously redeveloping from agricultural land to residential as the city keeps expanding to accommodate its rising population and demands. It reflects on various aspects like infrastructure, public spaces, streets, built form, so on and its shortcomings This portfolio further explores what kind of choices and tradeoffs Ballari allows its residents to make.
