The urban expansion and regeneration studio enables us to understand Local Area Planning as an important tool for micro planning in areas which are already urbanized and are in dire need to be redeveloped. Provided that the LAP mechanism has not become popular yet in India, it has huge potential of being implemented slowly since unorganized cities and continuous urban sprawling is one of India’s major issues.
