Nizamuddin: Where Heritage and Transit Synchronize

Nizamuddin is a unique site to attempt the preparation of a Local Area Plan (LAP) because it has both heritage and the influence of transit-oriented development (TOD). This publication explores the journey of preparing a plan which looks at two contrasting factors of Heritage and Transit and integrates both to propose a local area plan in a manner that enhances the imageability of the heritage site. To promote the experience journey of the people visiting such heritage precincts, various tourism based interventions were proposed in order to maintain the character of the site.
