Town Planning Scheme for Kharvasa, Surat

Planning system for an urbanizable area journey’s from macro level to micro level. One such micro level planning is town planning scheme. This portfolio covers the studio learnings from monsoon semester, 2020 that is, preparing TPS for a site in Surat city. The studio outline is divided into 4 iterations along with 2 intermediate exercises, one incorporates understanding micro level planning mechanisms followed in Indian and abroad cities (here, Seoul was studied) and other was performing a development feasibility study of native cities. GTPUDA Act 1976 was referred as a base for step by step understanding of the TPS mechanisms.
