Lighting and Daylighting Integrated Design Lab

Lighting and Integrated Design Lab is the studio course which is divided into 3 parts: 1) Measurement and experimentation of daylight metrics, 2) Lighting simulation tools such as Light Stanza to assess the annual daylight metrics and DIALUX tool for the electric lighting metrics and 3) Whole Building Design  for a hospital building by applying an integrated design approach following ECBC guidelines, then propose passive strategies and low energy cooling systems to reduce the operational energy and cost. Life Cycle Cost Assessment is performed for the systems installed for its economic feasibility.
