Lighting and Integrated Design Lab

The course is approached by two modules: 1)Lighting 2)Integrated Design Lab. In lighting, the metrics assosciated with daylighting and electric lighting are learnt. The learnings process through measurements with Lux meter and simulation in LightStanza. The integrated design lab involves a whole building design project - hospital(in this case). The project is approached by following ECBC 2017. At the end, a proposed design is evaluated which compromises of various mandatory and prescriptive requirements of ECBC and passive strategies to reduce EPI. With Life cycle cost analysis and return of investment, it helps to understand the economic feasibility of various interventions.
