The Water City Ahmedabad

Since water scarcity is a major issue across the world, this project suggests how using ancient water harvesting/storing techniques can bring water to focus and develop architecture around it. The primary function of the project is to take water from river, pump it up and transfer it to water tank for the city. Around this system, the project creates spaces of urban scale for people of the city and makes people experience water in different ways. With strong geometry, primary/secondary water systems, huge public spaces and the stone arches, this project creates an important landmark for the city.
