The children of Shankar Bhavan live an arduous life, unimaginable to most of us. They witness alcohlism, domestic violence and what not which puts them through an unsurmountable amount of trauma. The project aims to be a haven for these children. Through its humble architecture it aims to create happy and comfortable spaces for the children to live and grow in. The project also acts as an agent of iconicity by virtue of the contrast it would create in the urban fabric of the city, thus gaining traction to the community and its people.
