The project seeks to be an embodiment representation that enhances dynamism of the city Ahmedabad along a fragmented and lost water source. A systemic bottoms-up approach which extract opportunities from existing political and hierarchical water related disputes and balances the complexity through mutual connection of the fragments and stimulates stewardship towards surface water (seen) and groundwater (unseen). Water is a scarce resource, knows no boundary, a shared resource, offers living, livelihood, dependency, and quality of life but suffers from over exploitation and pollution due to land based urbanism. This gradually changes the myths and rituals that alters the established cultures and occupation due to water availability and vulnerability which affects entire city. Therefore, this project is an attempt along a water system that strategically enables diverse communities and stakeholders with a configuration that re-conceptualizes the pattern of ground and water system from an individual level to local level that connects to city level, while forming modern myths and rituals to find a balance between what is lost and what can be achieved. Link to Portfolio
