Chalanto Smriti Saha (Moving With Memories)

The project aims to memorialize the Bengal Partition by recreating movements that embody both rupture and suture. While the aspect of escaping through the Howrah Bridge shows the rupture, the same Howrah Bridge today becomes a transition space for multiple economic activities, depicting an act of suture. The partition museum on Curzon Park site in Kolkata hosts a similar experience. Visitors can experience  the museum, the tram, vendors and travelers and also the protests that take place on Rani Rashmoni Avenue. The museum tries to engage the visitors as they move with memories, hence- Chalanto Smriti Saha (Moving with memories)
