The idea was to create a gateway for the people entering the retreat due to the placement of the project right next to the plaza, a gateway that invites people to there residential units while acting as an edge to the plaza.This led to the concept of a solid wall with hovering spaces. This wall would act as the main structural element and would house all the services. The building gives an experience of a contrast between heavy and light spaces.
