This studio explores the Idea of Growth and response to the Existing. The design attempts to respect the presence of the pavilion on the site by becoming a blank wall. The duality that one sees in Fatehpur Sikri has been evoked here by the forms response to the undulations of the ridge on the other side. The project progresses by creating a stepwell and further enhances the centres that have been created by the pavilion and the stepwell. This project explores ways of separating realms of the house and the institute while keeping the entire form united.
