Craft + Future = Big Data

Since the digital revolution in the 1990s, it has been possible for the first time to collect and process large amounts of data at low cost. This is already widely used in industry. But also the craft, which consists of a concentrated knowledge of processes, techniques and tools, will be digitalized. Big Data will archive this knowledge of traditional craftspeople and make it available to everyone in the world at any time. This will offer designers an almost infinite pool of inspiration and it will lead to new combinations and collaborations.
