The purpose of the program is to stimulate interest, encourage and expose the principles of science and the scientific method to the people living around the Manek Chowk pol areas and to the general lay public. The site breath's a very strong presence of cultural as well as religious landmarks. Apart from that it is the epicenter for the 14 schools which evidently marks its presence within 500 meters of the site area. The Exploratorium will make efforts to stimulate and encourage people to ‘question’ various intriguing phenomena that occur around them. This ‘questioning’ when followed by ‘exploring’ leads to a ‘discovery’ of new facts. The visitors can get involved in multiple activities and games associated with the art of science and leave with nothing but fun and knowledge. This center can be the torchbearer towards great knowledge and betterment for the communities around, and inturn upgrading the standard of living of the people in pol region. The design strives to congregate and fuse elements of site with that of the science center. It promotes an unconventional learning system which is well fused with fun and games. Hence it becomes the nucleus of the area and would cater for the schools around and would provide with unconventional learning methods for the community children around.
