Exhibition of Exhibition, at Hall of Nations

Design process: With a spatial theme - Nesting the Void, design is proposed for Exhibition of Exhibitions at Hall of Nations, Delhi. Aim is to experience volume of the built form through nesting the void. Voids through transparency, connectivity and visually. The interior space of the site is a mass and mezzanine level is a void. The experience to be achieved is with an idea of designing an assembly based construction with a tall and slender character detached from existing built form with suspended and cantilevered volumes. Idea is to weave modernism of concrete of existing site with tubularity of stainless steel sections. The following presentation explains how design process is followed to achieve the aim.Learning Outcome: To learn the necessity of details and materials with its behavior in construction using kit of parts. How to achieve any design solution with implementation of correct techniques and assembly construction methods without losing on to the interior space character and expression.
