City Infrastructure Planning Studio | AUDA

Infrastructure comes with the people and it is a basic and mandatory thing to have for the survival in urban areas. By the time, urban areas are rapidly increasing by their population and area hence, high population density in the city. Ahmedabad is one of the fastest-growing city of India. With considering the last decadal growth rate of 50%, which is very high in terms of increasing population. With that, the urban development authority making a future plan to cater to a large number of people. Increase in population led to more demand for basic infrastructure and overuse of existing infrastructure. Planning for the infrastructure directly proportional to the proposed land uses. There is a need to have a comprehensive infrastructure plan for the upcoming developing areas around the corporation limit. These areas are transforming from the villages to urban areas very rapidly and hence before the development start very quickly, there should be a plan for the future population for basic needs like water, wastewater, solid waste, public amenities and good connecting roads.
