Neer - Ankush

Neer- ankush looks at overhead water infrastructures as mechanisms of civic expression countering their current monofunctional operation. The project is situated in Dani Limda, a ward that faces inequity in terms of water supplied when contrasted with the number of people residing in it. This inequity in many cases has been attributed to the ehtinic composition of the ward. This project uses the visibility and distinctiveness of an existing overhead tank in the ward as a marker of the current predicament of Dani Limda. Eliciting the participatory and engaging nature of traditional water infrastructures of the city, the project restructures the overhead water tank to accommodate a variety of functions making a truly civic space in a densely populated ward that has limited access to public space and water.

CAMPUS SCALE MAPPING: SPOT ON SOGGY COMICS Apprehending a similar sort of theory and implying it in situation, where there is presence of water or some activity with or around water is been done has been mapped. Sectional axonometric of different locations from campus where the event takes place has been cut, and represented as a comic cube. One side of the cube is the good that is happening there, and the side besides it shows the negative act happening in the exact mirrored location.

CAMPUS SCALE SPECULATION: WENDING MACHINES In this wending machine, the collected rain water is channelled into one pipe that supplies the dirty water into the wending machine pipe, which follows the pattern and filters while the person plays the game of Hit Ball. The fillets open one by one, and the water is filtered and collected into the water purifier/ water. The rest of the water is later used to play in the machine, ignorer to get the desired product out of the wending machine.

CITY SCALE MAPPING

REGIONAL SCALE MAPPING Danilimda is one of the wards receiving a lot less water than the others even though its population is much higher makes it a prospective site for a programme to activate the static water infrastructures in there. The ward of Danilimbda receives the least amount of water supply when compared to the ideal ratio of household is to water. Two layers of mapping; one being the amount of water supply and the other being the number of public spaces were acted, out of which

WARD MAPPING The ward mapping showcases in depth analysis of public elements present in, and around the water tank that is highlighted as a static infrastructure. It states, the literacy rate in the ward, as well as maps the number of schools present in the area.

ELEMENTS OF DESIGN These are the elements of the water tank area, which later comes together inorder to form a space, beneficial for the public.

WATER PODS The water pod complexes connects the main tank to three different locations to provide the people with unbiased water. This way the inequity can be demolished and the complexes would provide as a space to relax, play and gather to collect water
