Jaagruti : The Pad Laari

Jaagruti, a visionary project set amidst the bustling neighborhood of New Faisalnagar, aspires to re-evaluate the role of women by touching upon their social lives via a design intervention which chiefly concerns itself with the selling of sanitary napkins and other women-related products. The project aims at providing an opportunity to the women to bolster their hobbies whilst providing them a chance to display their craftsmanship as part of the various women-oriented programs we offer under Jaagruti. It is envisioned that the laari will eventually become a part of their daily routine catering to different streets at different times of the week. The use of the laari could then be extended to other activities like a public mela or a public film screening and has certain provisions for usage by children too; the laari thus, intends to dynamically transform and rejuvenate the lives of women and the neighborhood as a whole.
