Enhancing Experience - Nala Bazaar, Ajmer

A government scheme known as HRIDAY, was set as the start point for the studio. As part of the scheme, Ajmer city was selected as the focus, and the study was done to find the prevailing problem and concerns. The city as it is known for its tradition and sound culture were reflected in its built form, streets, and also activities.  The design proposal focused on the transformation of the main approach street (Nala Bazaar street? connecting Ajmer railway station to Ajmer Sharif Dargah) by increasing the public area by carving out spaces on the ground floor and restoration of the façade quality. There were guidelines developed pertaining to the same. This on a whole was developed to enhance the experience in terms of; Walking, Shopping, Visual, and Spatial.
