The Project aims at the transformation of city and developing its quality of life, selected from among the framework of HRIDAY Scheme.  Velankanni town is one of the most influential and significant Christian Heritage center in the eastern hemisphere with a vast cultural imprint. Under HRIDAY the development of the church complex has already been completed while the beachfront has still not been started with Hence the aim of the project becomes- “Reviving the identity of the town as a shore town by developing the beachfront while maintaining both the heritage and cultural sanctity of the town.”
