Developing BAU - Bharuch and Ankleshwar Urban

Bharuch is the oldest port town in India. It was recognized by traders and empires. The city has been ruled by the Mughals, Marathas and Nawabs. Post-independence converted the once port city to an industrial city. Bharuch is a self-sufficient economy and the introduction of industrial estates has further fuelled the economy. Ankleshwar has grown tremendously in the past 10 years especially after setting up the petroleum and chemical industry. Bharuch-Ankleshwar Urban Development Authority was formed to prepare a development plan for the area. The purpose of this DP is to facilitate growth, making the area liveable, green, and connected.
