Exploring polycentricity to build urban resilent cities

Urban form of the city influences the energy consumption and carbon footprint pattern in the city.  Here, in this development plan studio we tried to look Rajkot under philosophical approach where there is no FSI limit, by using Regulated liberal approach. Since past few years Rajkot is showing polycentric nature, 6 polycenter (self-sustained units) are located which will reduce the commuting for work and secondary travelling for daily shopping. By encouraging mixed use of land people will choose to settle close to work which reduces carbon footprint of city. The portfolio runs through the necessary analysis for the above approach.
