Making Rajkot a Market Driven Industrial City

Post-Independence, Rajkot has seen tremendous development in its industrial and service sector. After the establishment of Bhaktinagar industrial estate, the growth happened rapidly in the south within the now RMC region. Presently the growth is more towards west and south quadrants with strong industrial magnets in the form of Shaper-Veraval and Metoda GIDC estates. Educational institutes like Saurashtra University also drew growth in the west. This proposal is an attempt to demonstrate how the development in Rajkot will pan out with an industry-oriented market driven approach.
