Dahera Walo Khancho as a Gendered Public Space

With the limitation of not getting to be on campus as well as the site, we started the semester that comprised of 3 modules. With respect to acclimatizing myself with Panjrapole, being a person who’s never been to Ahmedabad, it was definitely challenging to understand the city and the neighborhoods. But each module helped in a great way in understanding the neighborhood. In the first module we were did an architectural historical and theoretical enquiry through the analysis of built environments and relevant archival materials. Second module of reflection and journaling was focused on investigating different forms of information and transforming our thoughts and observations into written forms of short essays. For the third module of constructing an architectural timeline, with available resources and relevant archival materials we were asked to develop an essay of 3000 words.
