The developed Master Plan for the IIMA Campus proposes a new location for the Vikram Sarabhai Library to make the library and its knowledge more accessible and approachable to the students as well as the city.  The New Campus library is a solution to the problems that have been identified with the existing Kahn Library and challenges the idea of treating the library as a Temple of sacred Knowledge and instead intends to liberate it from the formality associated with the university Library. The library has now been relocated to a closer proximity of the new center of the campus.
