Hacking archives - Texts and the building

Based on the Nawabi era in Lucknow, the project engaged in problematizing archives to produce critical historical content by learning to collate archives and identify discrepancies and abstract information via unpacking the text. Module 1a one problematizes the archival texts on European influenced buildings in Lucknow which do not conform to the western idea of architecture. Module 1b aimed to use the building in ruin as an archive to understand the construction technology, materiality, and spatial logic. Module 2 focussed on making history accessible to the public via a mobile application called HACKed.
