Re-invigoration of the once flourishing water-traffic in the canals of Kolkata The program involves the design of a Boating/ Rowing club to do the same. Lack of awareness, access and conservation has led to the endangerment of Kolkata’s canal boat-ways. Once a hub for transport and passenger boats, the busy lifestyle of these canals have now come to a standstill. The Boating Club aims to evoke the public access to these canals and subsequently raise awareness by making the people see the city from a different perspective. This would help in both conservation and expansion efforts for such water bodies and hopefully return their qualification from dumping grounds to a thriving network of human activity.
