The Media House

Establishing a relationship with the unbuilt is essential for a healthy workspace environment. ‘Healthy’ implies a positive workspace exposure through high workday nature contact. The pandemic has reinforced the importance of open spaces and the opportunity to step out. The project intends to create high workday nature contact for its users, demonstrating the same through re-imagining a print media and multimedia workspace on the Times of India site. An existing dense cluster of trees on site is seen as an opportunity to make the space publicly accessible and integrate within the program – the ground plane as a public component to the project. A thoroughfare between two roads is created on site, envisioning a garden on the ground. The idea of the garden continues through the built form as outdoor decks, semi-open spaces, and ultimately into a large roof garden with more workspaces.
