Moving through the contrasts

Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest  I  Western most tip of Vindhya range, Southern outcrop of Aravalli range  I  Pavagarh Hill Forest Reserve
This semi-arid region experiences rainfall in the range of 850- 1000 mm for a quarter of the year. Post-monsoon period, the moisture tends to reduce from the environment. The study aims at investigating a series of contrasting conditions of the dry deciduous forest that are tied together through mesic habitats that act like sponge retaining moisture. The forest fragments away from these habitats harbor species of flora that have adaptive functional traits.
