Solid to Hollow

This project explores a unique karstland forest and ecosystem, tucked amidst the tropical rainforests of the Baratang Island, of the Andaman Islands, which are the south eastern extension of the eastern Himalayas.Karstlands are highly isolated and fragile terrains housing rare endemic flora and fauna that exclusively depend on the karstlands.
The study starts with exploring the tropical rainforest setting and its monstrous features, which changes in character as the underlying geology changes from sandstone to limestone as we approach the karstland, making it visibly unique.
