Recreational Habitat

The intent was to create an urban insert metaphorically resonating with origami. The peripheries of the site are modulated such that it connects people to the nature and once within the space its a completely different experience of an urban space within. The modulating play of terraces merging with the landscape provides people a free space to occupy and share. While the spaces within the landscape below these terraces are more private yet shared. The design resonates with spatial manifesto of following rhythms of neighborhood. since each block seems like a definite module yet the play within is different and it responds different at the opposite peripheries. Hence the whole idea is similar to that of collection.
